“Safari” was inspired by my wonderful trip to South Africa.  The beauty of the animals in the wild is almost beyond description.  I experienced the uniqueness of each species and the felt the need to preserve their habitat for future generations to enjoy. 

Dahlov Ipcar, a fabulous self-taught nature artist, inspired me with her use of colors and patterns. I loved trying to show my version of the mystery of animals in the wild, especially the giraffes whose heads were often high above the trees.  $2,600
