Everythings Crooked

  Mixed Media/Fiber      40″ W x 31″ L

I live in a modern city; Denver is only 150 years old.  Looking out my condo window I see the straight lines of the very tall buildings. Transfer me to an ancient street in Bruges, Belgium. Every building I see has been there for at least 450 years. The charm engaged me as I sketched with watercolors in my small pad. I quickly realized any struggles I have had with perspective in the past it made no difference here.

Every building was crooked, each one leaning in, or out or towards its neighbor. Bright colors on the houses added to the charm of this engaging street. I could not wait to get home and transfer the image to fabric and stitch.    Sold
