When I shopped the busy market, it was later in the day. I came upon this man taking his afternoon siesta right in the middle of the market. I am sure he had been up since early morning bringing his produce to the market. He had earned his break. $400

I spent a fabulous week in Guadalajara, Mexico. Every afternoon I would meet my friend on the 2nd story balcony of the hotel overlooking the zocala. The women selling scarves was sitting across from me waiting for her ride. She was finished for the day trying to earn her living selling colorful scarves. $400

Every Mexican town has a least one farmers market where local small farmers are selling their fresh fruits and vegetables. This woman allowed me to photograph and sketch her as she prepared a squash to be sold. $400
